Gefühlvolles Mama Kind Shooting

Was ist wirklich wichtig im Leben? Vor der Geburt meines eigenen Kindes waren mir so Dinge wichtig wie Erfahrungen sammeln, Reisen, berufliche Weiterentwicklung, persönliche ‚Selbstoptimierung‘, ‚etwas erreicht haben‘, Anerkennung. Heute denke ich, das ist alles schön, nice to have. Was aber wirklich zählt (neben Gesundheit und einem Dach über dem Kopf) ist: Nähe zu den Menschen, die ich liebe. Meinen Sohn morgens noch ein paar Minuten länger kuscheln in meinen Armen schlafen lassen und ihn einzuatmen. Mit meinem Mann darüber diskutieren, wer wir sein wollen, als Menschen und Eltern. In den Tag hineinleben mit den Personen, die für uns Familie sind und es genießen, dass wir uns haben und zueinander gehören.

Dieses wunderbar zärtliche, liebevolle Shooting mit Mama und Sohn kurz vor seinem ersten Geburtstag fängt für mich mit seiner intimen Stimmung genau das ein.

Ein dunkler, regenverhangener Dezembertag, schummriges Morgenlicht durch die Fenster und zwei, die sich ganz nah sind. Atmosphärische, kontrastreiche, körnige schwarz-weiß Aufnahmen.
2019 steht für mich fotografisch im Zeichen von Bildern, die ‚mehr‘ sind. Mehr Gefühl, mehr Nähe, mehr Mut, mehr Zuversicht, mehr in-mir-angekommen-sein. Mehr als nur ein Foto.

What are the things that really count in life, that are most important to you? Before I had my child they were things like experiences, travels, developing my career and myself to get closer to an ideal version of myself, feeling accepted and appreciated in my choices. Today I think, sure these are still really nice to have. What really counts though (apart from health and a place to live) is: feeling close and connected to the people I love. Cuddling my son in the morning just a little bit longer while he sleeps in my arms and breathing him in. Talking with my husband about who we want to be, as people and parents. Enjoying the slow days of staying home and savouring spending time with the people who are family to us.

This loving, tender shoot with mama and her baby shortly before he turns one captures that feeling for me in its intimacy and vulnerability.

In 2019 I want to create photographs that are ‚more‘. More feeling, more connection, more courage, more confidence. More than a picture.
